Obituary: Mardeth ‘Mardi’ Jones, 73, Bardstown
Mardeth “Mardi” Jones, 73, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at Windsor Gardens. She was born Aug. 15, 1944, in Scranton, Pa. and graduated from University of Michigan Ann Arbor in 1966 with a BS in nursing and also a Master’s degree. She worked in Chicago with visiting Nurses Association, and came to Bardstown in 1986 and worked as Director of Caritas and retired in 2006. She loved to play bridge with her friends, bet on horses, and loved dogs. She 
was on the Board for Nazareth and St. Catherine College, and volunteered for Humane Society of Nelson County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mabel Hoffman Jones; and one brother, Benjamin Todd Jones.
She is survived by her niece, Jessyca Poole of Seattle, Wash.; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
The memorial service is 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home.
Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to Humane Society of Nelson County.
