Magistrate issues statement about his Friday night arrest for DUI
STAFF REPORT
June 6, 2011, 3:06 p.m. — Fourth District Magistrate Jeff Lear has released the following statement regarding his arrest Friday night by Kentucky State Police for driving under the influence.
To Whom It May Concern:
This past Friday I was stopped at a roadcheck and subsequently arrested for DUI. I am truly remorseful and ashamed of my actions. The poor judgment that I used is mine alone and I intend to deal with the consequences of my actions on both the personal and legal levels. I only ask that the focus of this incident be directed at me and not my family or others around me including the Nelson County Fiscal Court.
