Driver injured Sunday night when car strikes Caldwell Avenue home

Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 — A man was injured late Sunday night when the car he was operating failed to make a turn and struck a home.

At about 10:50 p.m., Bardstown Police, Bardstown Fire and Nelson County EMS were dispatched to the area of the intersection of Caldwell Ave. and Owings Blvd. after the vehicle the injured man was operating failed to make the turn at the end of Caldwell and struck a home. The 28-year-old male driver of the was out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived. The man was treated by EMS at the scene and then transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment for abdominal pain. The driver was wearing seat bets and the vehicle’s airbags deployed. Bardstown Police investigated the accident.
