Obituary: William R. ‘Bobby’ King Jr., 69, Cox’s Creek

William R. “Bobby” King Jr., 69, of Cox’s Creek, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at his residence. He was born Sept. 26, 1948, in Nelson County. He was a farmer and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Irene King.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Kay King (Woody Spalding) and Amanda King (Brett Flamion), both of Bardstown; three sisters, Carolyn Hurd, Suzanne DeWitt and Nancy King, all of Cox’s Creek; and five grandchildren, Kristen N. Kirsch of Louisville, Austin T. Kirsch of Lexington, and Isabella I. King, Olivia K. King and Lincoln A. King, all of Bardstown.

His memorial service is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial is in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
