Obituary: Robert Edward Beam, 85, Lebanon Junction

Robert Edward Beam, 85, of Lebanon Junction, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, in Louisville. He was a self-employed upholsterer and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Edward and Mahala Bruner Beam; one sister, Carol Casey; and one brother Richard Beam.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Steiner Beam; four daughters, Shelly Lee, Bonita Vittitow, Barbara Vittitow and Mary Worthington; four sons, Robert Joseph Beam, Clyde Russell Beam, Gerald Beam and Doug Beam; two sisters, Shirley Short and JoAnn Johnson; four brothers, Gary Beam, Jimmy Beam, Roy Beam and David Beam; 21 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 1-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at the Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with cremation to follow.
