Obituary: Mary Beatrice ‘Bea’ O‘Daniel Mattingly Russell, 98, formerly of New Haven
Mary Beatrice “Bea“ O‘Daniel Mattingly Russell, 98, of Bardstown, formerly of New Haven, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at Bardstown Healthcare and Rehab Center in Bardstown. She was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. She was a homemaker. She was born July 6, 1919, to the late Charles and Virgie Cissell O‘Daniel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William “Bill” Mattingly; her second husband, Charles ‘Charlie” Russell; one daughter, Phyllis Mattingly Hall; one son, Donnie Mattingly; two great-grandsons, Tony Culver and Travis Edward Maupin; and one great-great-grandson, Aiden Downs.
She is survived by four daughters, Betty (Edward) Downs, Ann (Billy) Holbert, and Linda (Anthony) Morley, all of New Haven, and Jeanie Culver of Bardstown; one son, Randy (Pauletta) Mattingly; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Chris Lubecke officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St. in New Haven, and 8-10 a.m. Friday at the church. A prayer service is 6 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Chris Lubecke in the funeral home chapel.
