Holidays to alter city and county garbage collection times, routes

Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 — The Christmas and New Year’s holidays will affect garbage pickup for customers of the City of Bardstown and those on county garbage routes.

CITY OF BARDSTOWN. Garbage routes will be run earlier than usual on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017. Customers are asked to have their garbage at the curb by 5 a.m.

CHRISTMAS DAY, DEC. 25 – No garbage collection.

Garbage collection the rest of Christmas week will be delayed one day, i.e., Monday’s garbage routes will be run Tuesday, etc. Friday’s routes will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 30.

NEW YEAR’S DAY, JAN. 1 – No garbage collection. Garbage collection the rest of New Year’s week will be delayed one day.

COUNTY GARBAGE CUSTOMERS. County garbage will not be picked up on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Collection will be delayed one day the rest of the week.

LANDFILL HOURS. The Nelson County Landfill will be closed Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
