Obituary: Michael Anthony ‘Muncie’ Clark, 55, Elizabethtown

Michael Anthony “Muncie” Clark, 55, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of New Haven, a member of St. James Catholic Church, and retired from the trucking industry as a dispatcher. He was an avid drag racer for years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph “Jack” and Margaret Braden Clark; one sister, Theresa Flossie Kennedy; and two brothers, James Clark and John Fox Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 25-1/2 years, Melanie Karger Clark; one son, Jackie Clark of Elizabethtown; four sisters, Mary Wilkerson of Campbellsville, Gladys Carter of Bardstown, and Joann Morris and Kathy Keesy both of New Haven; four brothers, Earl Clark, Tommy “Wonka” Clark, and Danny “Fly” Clark, all of Bardstown, and George Clark of Nelsonville; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin Linebach officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home.

The Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.
