Bardstown Fire responds to HEC Manufacturing for active alarm

Monday, June 6, 2011, 6:36 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Monday evening to HEC Manufacturing, 222 W. John Rowan, for an active fire alarm. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the building and the sprinkler system activated. After making entry into the building, they found the fire had been in a paint spray booth. The fire was out, and firefighters worked to ventilate smoke from the building and shut off the sprinkler system. Nelson County EMS also responded to the scene.
