Obituary: Betty Shannon Greer, 79, Bardstown
Betty Shannon Greer, 79, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born April 10, 1938, in Bardstown to the late W. C. and Lorraine Dugan Morrow. She was a former beautician for Hair Corner until retirement, a member of Bardstown Homemakers and Bardstown United Methodist Church and their Senior Group.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene “Gene” Greer; and one brother, Jack Morrow.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammy (John) Masters of Bardstown; two sisters, LaVonne (Gene) Brown of Bardstown and Mary Jo Morrow of Wilmore; one brother, Jimmie Morrow of Bardstown; and two granddaughters, Ashley (Nick) Yonts of Palm Beach, Fla. and Cassie Masters of Elizabethtown.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at the Bardstown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Phil Bradley officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at the Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at the church.
The family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
