Driver facing alcohol-related charge after crashing car into home

Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 — A Venetian Way home was severely damaged Thursday night when a woman who lived in the neighborhood crashed her car into the side of a the home, plowing through an exterior wall and entering a bedroom.
Nelson County Fire and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a non-injury vehicle-versus-house crash Thursday at about 10:36 p.m. Calls to Nelson County 911 reported the vehicle, an SUV, was still running after the crash and that the driver was trying to remove the car from the home.
The driver, Jacquline Ann Allender, 56, of Bardstown, was arrested on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc.
According to the Nelson County Jail records was booked into the jail at 2:05 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29th.
