Obituary: Emma Catherine Lawson, 74, Cox’s Creek
Emma Catherine Lawson, 74, of Cox’s Creek, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at her home. She was a past member of the Thixton Lane Church of Christ and a former employee of Walmart in Fern Creek.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Verl Lee Lawson; one son, William Thomas “Billy” Crawford; one sister, Mary Louise Mudd; one brother, Charles Walter Green; and one son-in-law, Bobby Ryan.
She is survived two daughters, Lawonna Kay Lawson and Cathy Ryan; one son, Verl Lee Lawson, Jr. (Marcy); three sisters, Rosetta Green, Betty Jean Fawbush, and Marie Ware;
one brother, Doug Green; seven grandchildren, Natosha Pearson, Shelby Pearson, and Charles Pearson, Christopher Ryan, Christy Ryan, Courtney Lawson and Cody Lawson; four great-grandchildren, Hayden Pearson, Bentley Ray Lewis, Kendall Ryan and Adley Ryan.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Fairfield.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
