Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 — Two people were injured Thursday morning in a rear-end collision involving a semi tractor-trailer and an SUV on Lebanon Junction Road near the Jim Beam Brands Booker Noe plant in Boston.

Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 7 p.m. Thursday morning to the area of 1600 Lebanon Junction Rd. for an reported injury accident. Initial reports from the scene indicated the SUV was struck from the rear and overturned.

Due to the cold temperatures, the injured were moved inside the plant offices to get them out of the cold. While traffic was backed-up by the accident, a second, non-injury crash happened.

EMS treated the injured at the scene and transported one person to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
