Obituary: Robert Eugene Hutchison, 79, Bardstown

Robert Eugene Hutchison, 79, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at his residence. He was born Feb. 8, 1938, in Jefferson County. He retired from Barton’s Distillery where he worked security. He was the owner and operator of Rockys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Parker and Frances Ann Hutchison; and one brother, John Hutchison.

He is survived by his longtime companion of 37 years, Ann Downs; one daughter, Gail (Dan) Waits; four sons, Robert Hutchison, Joseph M. Hutchison, Todd Downs and Larry Downs; one sister, Emma Gerrity Hutchison; three grandchildren, Angela Hutchison, Corey Waits and Kerri Hutchison; one great-grandson, Andrew Hutchison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Waits officiating. Burial is in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.

Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at the funeral home.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
