Obituary: Jerry N. Hardin, 72, Cox’s Creek

Jerry N. Hardin, 72, of Cox’s Creek, died Sunday Jan. 7, 2018, at Signature Health Care in Bardstown. He was born April 6, 1945, in Washington County. He retired after working 32 years at Bardstown Quarry. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his infant grandson; his parents, William Garland and Margie Jane Lewis Hardin; one sister, Audrey Louise Foster; one brother, James Marshall Hardin; and one brother-in-law, Leon Foster.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Stella Frances Wilson Hardin of Cox’s Creek; two daughters, Tammy (J.T.) Fulkerson of Cox’s Creek and Rhonda (Mark) Greenwell of Bardstown; one son, Jerry B. Hardin of Bloomfield; one sister, Christine Foster of Louisville; five grandchildren, Trey Fulkerson of Cox’s Creek and Kimberly (Kory) Chasteen, Brandon Lee Greenwell, Kaleb and Cheyenne Hardin, all of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Goodlett officiating. Burial is in the Benningfield Cemetery in Marion County.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
