Ernestine Wheatley Hamilton, 99, of Springfield, died at 2:42 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Sansbury Care Center at St. Catharine.

She is survived by five daughters, Charlotte (Buddy) Smith and Glenna (George) Graves, both of Springfield, Judy Stewart of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Carol Calhoun and Patrice (Billy) Drury, both of Louisville; four sons, Sheridan (Brenda) Hamilton, Charles Wheatley (Bonnie) Hamilton, Kenny (Joyce) Hamilton and Bobby Ray (Debbie) Hamilton, all of Springfield; one sister, Betty Jean (Joe) Burba of Louisville; 25 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at St. Rose Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, and 7-10:15 a.m. Friday at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield.
