Obituary: Eva Lillian Moreland, 97, Bardstown

Eva Lillian Moreland, 97, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Signature Healthcare at Colonial Rehab and Wellness Center in Bardstown. She was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Huntington, West Va., to the late Gutherie and Hannah Woody Moreland. She worked at the former Kenny Shoe Factory in West Va. was a member of Wickland Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her nephew, Paul (Margaret) Scites of Bardstown, two great-nieces, Lisa (Jay) Allen of Bardstown and Paula Jean “PJ” (Richard) Burns of Nicholasville; two great-great-nieces, Lorie (Nathan) Petrie of Lexington and Lydia Kay Burns of Louisville; and two great-great-nephews, Trey (Sara) Allen of Louisville and Andy Burns of Nicholasville.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at the Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis King officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
