Obituary: William Douglas ‘Doug’ Cook, Jr., 37, Bloomfield
William Douglas “Doug” Cook, Jr., 37, of Bloomfield, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018. He was born in Louisville. He was the son of Deborah L. Cook and the late William Douglas Cook Sr. He was a truck driver for Carrier Transport and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Brittany Cook of Bloomfield; one son, Tristin Cook of Bloomfield; his mother, Deborah L. Cook of Taylorsville; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Cook of Pleasureville; his maternal grandparents, Arthur Ray and Gracie Cook of Taylorsville; and his cousins, Alexis Cook and Austin Cook, both of Taylorsville.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home in Taylorsville, with the Rev. Tom Sparrow officiating.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Tristin Cook Scholarship Fund.
