One person injured Friday night after SUV slides off road, strikes tree head-on

Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 — One person was injured Friday night when the SUV they were operating slid off Balltown Road and struck a tree head-on. Nelson County EMS was dispatched at 7:28 Friday after a deputy sheriff drove up on the single-vehicle injury accident on Balltown Road near Pascal Ballard Lane. EMS treated the male driver at the scene for arm pain. He was transported by EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
