Obituary: Richard Chad Carmichael, 46, Bardstown

Richard Chad Carmichael, 46, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born March 23, 1971, in Louisville. He was a technician for Spectrum Cable, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a member and past president of the Louisville East Lions Club, and a member of Friendship Separate Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Norman Carmichael.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Stump “Angel” Carmichael of Bardstown; one daughter, Caitlin Crouch of Bardstown; two sons, Austin Crouch of Beckley, West Va., and Trey Crouch of Bardstown; his parents, Sharon Kay and Ron May of Louisville; two sisters, Shannon (Robbie) Meyers and April May (Darrel) Roof, both of Louisville; four brothers, Danny Carmichael, Craig (Wendy) May, and James Carmichael, all of Louisville, and the Rev. John (Erin) Carmichael of Indiana; and his maternal grandmother, Nora Lucille Wheeler (Karl) Witte of Louisville.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. David Moose and Bro. Melvin Underwood officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, and after 8:30am Thursday at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Lions Camp Crescendo, 1480 Pine Tavern Road, Lebanon Junction, KY 40150.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Rd., is in charge of arrangements.
