Obituary: Ricky Wayne Lewis, 58, Bardstown

Ricky Wayne Lewis, 58, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 21, 1959, in Bardstown to the late Chester Lee and Helen May Thompson Lewis. He was a general laborer, a member of the Second Baptist Church of Fairfield where he was a former church secretary and member of the Brotherhood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lewis.

He is survived by four sisters, Faye (Gary) Gaither-Buckner, Catherine Laverne (Joseph) Stone and Janice Lewis, all of Louisville, and Karen (Keith) Wilson of Georgetown; four brothers, Avery (Linda) Lewis, Ron Lewis, and Roger (Rosemary) Lewis, all of Bardstown, and Joe Carol Lewis of Louisville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at the Second Baptist Church of Fairfield with the Rev. Calvin Holloway officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the Second Baptist Church of Fairfield.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road is in charge of arrangements.
