Obituary: Delores (Lodie) Calbert, 68, Bardstown

Delores (Lodie) Calbert, 68, of Bardstown, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at Bardstown Nursing Rehabilitation. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church of Fairfield. She was born Nov. 5, 1949, in Indianapolis. She was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Wells Sr. “Joe” and Eureth A. Lewis Wells “Sis”.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph A. Wells Jr. “Pluck.”

DELORES (LODIE) CALBERT

She is survived by her son, Prentiss Calbert “P.J”; one daughter, Farrah Calbert; five sisters, Dorothy Mae Gilbert, Linda (Kenny) McMakin, Doretta (Phillip) Lydian, all of Bardstown, Diana (Charles) Downs and Sandra Lee, both of Louisville; four brothers, William Vonzel Wells and Tony Wells, both of Bardstown, Danny (Patricia) Wells of Louisville, and Glenn Wells of Bloomfield; one uncle, Frances Smith Lewis; three aunts, Eleanor Lewis, Lenora Lewis, and Jo Evelyn Lewis; two grandchildren, Jamicia Calbert, and Caden Traynor; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at the Second Baptist Church of Fairfield with burial in Bardstown Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Calvin R. Holloway officiating.

Visitation is 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the church.
