EMS responds for possible injury accident after car runs off Balltown Road

Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, 12:01 p.m. — One person was injured Monday morning when a vehicle ran off Balltown Road and went down an 20-foot embankment.

At 10:41 a.m., Nelson County EMS, Bardstown Fire and police were dispatched for a possible injury accident in the 200 block of Balltown Road with possible entrapment. The driver was out of the vehicle when first-responders arrived. EMS treated the female driver at the scene before transporting her to University Hospital in Louisville for additional evaluation and treatment.

First responders were on the scene for nearly an hour.
