Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 — For the third year in a row, Town & Country Bank and Trust Co. has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky in the small-sized employer category (those employing 15-149 employees) by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM).

A total of 39 companies from across the state have been selected as winners in this category.

The selection process, managed by Best Companies Group, is based on an assessment of the company’s employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey.

“We are thrilled to be recognized as a Best Place to Work in Kentucky,” stated Raffo Wimsett, Jr., President and CEO of Town & Country Bank. “This award is shared by the hard-working and dedicated staff at all of our banking centers.”

Banking is serious business, but management encourages activities that relieve stress and promote a strong corporate culture throughout the year. An excellent benefits package, monthly birthday potlucks, employee recognition programs, jean day fundraisers, and an annual Christmas party are just a few of the things that employees stated make Town & Country Bank and Trust Co. a great place to work.

Representatives from Town & Country Bank will attend an awards dinner Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Heritage Hall in the Lexington Convention Center where the winner rankings will be announced.

The Best Places to Work competition is a multi-year initiative designed to motivate companies in the Commonwealth to focus, measure, and move their workplace environments towards excellence. Numerous studies show a strong correlation between profitability and creating a good place to work. A positive work environment leads to profits.

Town & Country Bank and Trust Co., headquartered in Bardstown, has been serving the central Kentucky community for over 100 years with offices in Bardstown, New Haven, Lawrenceburg and Nicholasville.
