Obituary: Ruby Jean Case, 80, Mount Washington

Ruby Jean Case, 80, of Mount Washington, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Jewish Hospital. She was a native of Bloomfield, a retired employee of General Electric, and a retired beautician.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl Sweazy; one daughter, Sherry Carey; and two brothers, Gerden Case and Roger Case.

Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Gowen, Theresa Samples and Pamela Stillwell; two sons, Ed Sweazy and Glenn Sweazy; two sisters, Barbara Chesser and Margaret Byrd; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2018, at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington. Cremation will follow.

The McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington is in charge of arrangements.
