Obituary: Joyce Pyle, 78, Bardstown

Joyce Pyle, 78, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at her residence. She was born Sept. 8, 1939, in New Haven. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, worked as a secretary for John Talbott for 18 years and worked for Nelson Circuit Clerks Office for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Pyle; her parents, Thomas Chester and Mary Taylor; and one brother, Othel Taylor.

She is survived by one daughter, Jan Lee of Bardstown; one son, Neal Pyle (Denise) of Cox’s Creek; one sister, Celeste Williamson (Sam) of Bardstown; two brothers, Leslie Taylor (Ann) of Mount Washington, and Steve Taylor (Tobee) of Lebanon Junction; four grandchildren, Dustin Lee (Hillary), Ernie Pyle, Darren Lee (Hannah), and John Casey Pyle; three great-grandchildren, Bentley Pyle, Colton Lee and Zoe Lee; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was noon Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating.

Barlow Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
