Obituary: Robert Wallace Brown, 77, Elizabethtown

Robert Wallace Brown, 77, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of White’s Creek, West Va. He was owner of Brown’s Upholstery, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army, retired from the Army Reserve, and was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Burl Brown Jr. and Myrtle Akers Brown; sister, Linda Lou Graham; and two brothers, Raymond B. Brown and Julian E. Brown, his twin brother.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Joyce Brown; three children, Lisa Renae Vaught (Mike) of Glasgow, Robert David Brown (Dovie) of Bardstown, and James Allan Brown (Tina) of Sellersburg, Ind.; one sister, Carol Sue Adkins (Otis) of Ceredo, West Va.; one brother, Johnny Mack Brown (Diana) of St. Augustine, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Lucas Cash Vaught, Sarah Kate Smith (Hayden), Cari Beth Vaught, Wyatt Joshua Brown, Nolan Harrison Brown, Taylor Grace Brown, and Austin David Brown; and numerous cousins and special friends.

The funeral is noon Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Mark Judd and Dr. Glenn Chasteen officiating. Burial is in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, and after at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
