City recreation registrations open for basketball, volleyball leagues

Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 — The Bardstown Parks & Recreation Department is taking sign-ups for high school senior and adult league basketball leagues and a coed volleyball league.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR LEAGUE. The 2018 Senior High School Basketball Coed League is open to anyone enrolled in grades 9-12 and has NOT played in a school team game this season. A player may not be 19 years of age before January 1 of the current year.

Players must form their own teams. A seeded single-elimination tournament based on league results will be held at the end of league play. The fee is $50.00 per player. Team roster sheets and registration forms can be picked up at the Bardstown Parks & Recreation Department between 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 12:30-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or online at www.cityofbardstown.org.

Registration will be taken until 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018. No late registrations will be allowed. Call the Recreation office for more information, (502) 348-9281.

ADULT CO-ED BASKETBALL. The rec department is now taking registration for the Adult Basketball League. This co-ed league is for players 18 yrs and older. Teams must consist of 5 to 10 players. Each team will play 8 regular season games and participate in a single-elimination tournament based on league results. League max is 12 teams. The cost of registration is $500.00 per team.

CO-ED VOLLEYBALL. The rec department is taking team sign-ups for the 2018 Co-Ed Volleyball League. The league is open to anyone 16 years and older. Players must form their own teams. Teams may consist of up to 10 players and there must be two of each gender on the floor at all times. A seeded single elimination tournament based on league results will be held at the end of league play. The fee is $270.00 per team.
