Obituary: Benita Blandford, 68, Nazareth
Benita Blandford, 68, of Nazareth, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at her residence. She was born March 25, 1949, in Bardstown. She was employee for Windsor Gardens, former employee for St. Joseph Elementary, Bethlehem High School, and Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Thelma Smith; one sister, Mildred Ball; one brother, Pat Smith; and the father of her children, Ronnie Blandford.
She is survived by her three children, Felicia (Steve) Wilkerson of Louisville, Tony Blandford of Bardstown, and Amber (Shawn) Drake of Mount Washington; two sisters, Sr. Louise Smith of Nazareth, and Rita Rapier of North Carolina; one brother, Jodie Smith of Nazareth; five grandchildren, Jordan Ball, Harrison Rogers, A.J. Blandford, Aidan Blandford, and Bella Blandford; and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home with Deacon Sam Filiatreau officiating with inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home.
