Obituary: Ray Hardin Jr., 86, Bardstown

Ray Hardin Jr., 86, of Bardstown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at his home. He was a native of Spencer County, a retired employee of the Logan Company, and a member of Nelson County Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Johnson Hardin; one son, James Daniel Hardin; three sisters, Susan Hazelwood, Mary Elizabeth Barnett and Sarah Lee Hardin; two brothers, J.T., Randall and Lewis Hardin; and one grandson, Andrew Burkhead.

He is survived by four daughters, Brenda Watts, Linda Hicks, Debra Clemens, and Sharon Hardin; three sons, Larry Ray, Jeffrey DeWayne, and Joseph Richard Hardin; three sisters, Nannie L. Sanders, Ruby Hedden and Betty Jane Worner; one brother, David C. Hardin; 13 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was Thursday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in Mount Washington Cemetery.

The McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington was in charge of arrangements.
