Obituary: William ‘Floppy’ Carl Clark, 57, New Haven

William “Floppy” Carl Clark, 57, of New Haven, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at his residence. He was born March 19, 1960, to the late William Oscar and Mary Louise Donahue Clark in New Haven. He was a Catholic by faith and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Culvertown. He retired from the City of Bardstown in maintenance with 25 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Phyllis Grimes, and Patricia Louise Shain; and one brother, James Oscar Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Mary “Betsy” Shain Clark of New Haven; two daughters, Amanda Jean Clark of Bardstown and Kimberly Nicole Clark of New Haven; two sons, Joseph William Clark of Bardstown and James Eric Clark of New Haven; three sisters, Elizabeth Jean (Martin) Flahiff of Bardstown, Pamela Ann (Michael) Shain and Angela Marie (Joe Paul) Smith, both of New Haven; one brother, Phillip Wayne Clark of New Haven; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Immaculate Conception with the Rev. Chris Lubecke officiating. Burial is in Holy Cross Cemetery in Holy Cross.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, and 8:30-9:15 a.m. Friday at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel with a 5 p.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel, 167 N. Main St., New Haven, is in charge of arrangements.
