Obituary: Jo Ann Wortham Coffey, 80, Hodgenville
Jo Ann Wortham Coffey, 80, of Hodgenville, died peacefully Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was a faithful member of Union Christian Church, a devoted housewife and mother to many besides her own children. She was a wonderful cook and fed many people, not only the body but also the soul with her quiet love, which filled her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Veechel Coffey; her parents, Jesse R. and Mae Hornback Wortham; one daughter-in-law, Ramona Bartley Coffey; two sisters, Mary Lois Miller and Jessie Mae Wise; one brother, Jackie Wortham; and two grandsons, Nathan Coffey and Ross Baird.
She is survived by one daughter, Teresa (Will) Thompson of Hodgenville; three sons, Davy Coffey and Dorma (Lisa) Coffey, both of Hodgenville and Bear (Ramona) Coffey of Boston; one sister, Faye Gray; one aunt, Ruth Wortham; one sister-in-law, Alvine Hampton; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at Union Christian Church with Bro. Billy Curle and Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
