Obituary: Margie Marie Elder, 96, Louisville

Margie Marie Elder, 96, of Louisville, died Monday, Feb, 19, 2018m in Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. She was born May 15, 1921, in Chaplin to the late J.W. and Mahaley “Hallie” Sparrow Coulter. She was a retired employee of Custom Home Improvements, a member of Melbourne Heights Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She loved to fish, make quilts and loved her family.

She is survived by one son, David (Melinda) Elder of Louisville; one sister, Mildred (Hobart) Beavers of Chaplin; one brother, Johnny (Daisy) Coulter of Louisville; one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Elder of Mount Washington; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Adam Schell officiating with burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2018, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
