Obituary: Charles Thomas ‘Tommy’ Lucas III, 46, Lebanon Junction
Charles Thomas “Tommy” Lucas III, 46, of Lebanon Junction, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. He was very active in his community which he loved dearly. He was on the Board of Directors of the Bullitt County Rod and Gun Club, where he participated in the backpack program and Christmas program for children in need. He was a former board member and volunteer with the Southeast Fire Department and a long time Bullitt County Fair Board member. He was active with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. He was also a member of the NRA and the First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Edward and Minnie Lillian Daniels and Charles Thomas Lucas, Sr. and Margaret Pauline Lucas.
Survivors include three daughters, Natasha Armstrong (Chris), Emma Lucas and Kaitlin Roe; his parents, Jim and Anita Daniels Lucas; one sister, Lori Lucas Davis; four grandchildren, Braylon Hodge, Maci Armstrong, Brantley Armstrong and Madisyn Armstrong; three stepgrandchildren, Brayden Armstrong, Braxten Armstrong and Brody Armstrong; two nieces, Madeline Davis and Camille Davis; and his girlfriend, Susan Bowman.
The funeral is noon Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Shepherdsville with Pastor Aaron Harvey of Highview Baptist Church officiating.
Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at the Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction and after 9 a.m. Friday at Highview Baptist Church.
