Obituary: Eugene Dailey Royalty, 92, Louisville

EUGENE DAILEY ROYALTY

Eugene Dailey Royalty, 92, of Louisville, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at his home. He was a native of Nelson County, a retired employee of General Electric, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Vittitoe Royalty; and four sisters, Beatrice Ballard, Eula Mae Owens, Cuba Cook, and Barbara Ogle.

He is survived by four children, Roger Elliott, Terry Eugene, and Ryan Gerald Royalty, and Mary Valerie Hardegree; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation is after 9 a.m. Thursday morning.

The McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington is in charge of arrangements.
