Obituary: Charles W. Crawford, 91, Elizabethtown

Charles W. Crawford, 91, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Helmwood Healthcare. He was a native of Grayson County who served in the U.S. Army. He retired after 38 years from ICG Railroad. He was a member of First Christian Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Marie Crawford; one sister, Mildred Marie Crawford; one brother, Aubrey Crawford; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters, Gloria Bryan of Louisville, Brenda (Jerry) Bland of Elizabethtown, and Cathy (Gene) Klinglesmith of Bradenton, Fla.; one son, Kenneth (Donna) Crawford of Cox Creek; one brother, H.T. Crawford of Leitchfield; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Bro. Chris Kiger officiating. Burial is in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to First Christian Church.
