Traffic accident downs utility lines, closing Lawrenceburg Rd. Friday afternoon

Friday, Feb. 22, 2018 — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department, Bloomfield Police and Kentucky State Police responded Friday afternoon at about 3:20 p.m. to the area of 1900 Lawrenceburg Road after utility lines were downed by an traffic accident.

The power lines were hanging across Lawrenceburg Road after a pickup truck hit a utility pole, breaking it in half. The downed utility lines required first-responders to shut down Lawrenceburg Road while. Traffic was routed around the accident via Hwy 1066 while utility crews responded.
