Woman taken to hospital after attack by two dogs on Sunset Drive

Wednesday, June 8, 2011, 11:15 a.m. — A 26-year-old Bardstown woman was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning after she was attacked by two dogs.

Nelson County EMS, police and Nelson County Animal Control were dispatched to the 100 block of Sunset Drive for a reported dog bite. The woman was bitten multiple times and received bite wounds on her calves, knee and thigh. She sought help at a neighbor’s house, who called 911.

The dogs were not on leashes. One of the dogs involved was trapped in a backyard, dispatchers said. The incident happened about 11 a.m.
