Police arrest Cox’s Creek man in connection with drive-by shooting

Thursday, June 9, 2011, 10:30 a.m. — A Cox’s Creek man was arrested Wednesday evening by Bardstown Police for his alleged role in a drive-by shooting that took place on Purcell Avenue in Bardstown.
Robert Wayne Hood, 21, was charged with wanton endangerment in the first-degree. He was arrested about 10:45 p.m. and lodged in the Nelson County Jail just before midnight Wednesday.
On Wednesday evening, Bardstown Police responded to a call of a man shooting a gun in the 100 block of Purcell Avenue. The victim told police a man identified as Hood fired a handgun between two residences. According to police, at least one round was fired. There were no injuries reported.
Police arrested Hood at a KY 245 minit-mart parking lot without incident. Wanton endangerment in the first-degree is a Class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.
