Obituary: Ralph Diaz, 63, Bardstown

Ralph Diaz, 63, of Bardstown, died Saturday, March 3, 2018, at his residence. He was born Oct. 24, 1954, in Huandacareo, Mexico. He was self-employed at Ralph’s Tax Service since 1978. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph’s Men’s Club, St. Joseph Bereavement Team, and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Catalina Diaz.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Forsee Diaz; one son, Jason (Hannah) Diaz of Bardstown; three stepsons, Jerry Lear, Jeff (Beth) Lear, and Joe (Serena) Lear, all of Bardstown; 10 siblings, Alfonso (Concheta) Diaz of Coal City, Ill., Anita (Juan) Patino of North Hills, Calif., Onnie (Alice) Diaz of Newton, Ill., Maria Bybee of Braidwood, Ill., John Diaz of Joliet, Ill., Theresa (Rafael) Zamudio of New Lennox, Ill., Gloria (Romeo) Zamudio of Joliet, Ill., Frank (Mary) Diaz of Joliet, Ill., Bob (Theresa) Diaz of Channahon, Ill., and Lusie (Paul) Raab of Ingleside, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Emily Lear, Amelia Hensley, Helena Lear, Adam Lear, Olivia Lear, Evelyn Lear, J.D. Lear, Savannah Lear, Sammy Diaz, Raquel Diaz, and Shane Diaz; and six great-grandchildren, Lilly Nickles, Leo Nickles, Sadie Miller, Sawyer Miller, Lyla Hensley, and Ellis Hensley.

The Memorial Mass is 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating.

Visitation is 9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
