Obituary: Mary Callon Burtch, 76, Bardstown

Mary Callon Burtch, 76, of Bardstown, died Saturday, March 3, 2018, at her residence. She was born on July 7, 1941, in Springfield to the late Archie and Elsie Corbett Ballard. She was the former owner of Mary’s Lady Rose Salon, a proud member of A.A. and of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita Ballard and Rose Lyvers; and three brothers, J.R. Ballard, Pat Ballard and John “Soapie” Ballard.

She is survived by her adopted daughter, Lori Boyle of New Albany, Ind., one son, Chris Willett of Cox’s Creek; one brother, David (Phyllis) Ballard of Cox’s Creek; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family followed her wishes of a non-ceremonial cremation. Burial is on a later date in St. Rose Catholic Church Cemetery in Springfield.

The Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
