Obituary: Frances Mae Crowe, 89, formerly of Bardstown

Frances Mae Crowe, 89, formerly of Bardstown, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Forest Springs Health Campus in Louisville. She was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Louisville to the late Joe Sr. and Lena Mae Hubbard Bealmear. She retired after 36 years with Barton Brands LTD and was a former employee of Bardstown Manufacturing. She was also a former member of the Bardstown and Bloomfield Senior Citizens Clubs. She was a member of Bardstown Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Goatley; second husband, Austin Crowe; one daughter, Connie S. Whitt; two sisters, Geneva Mudd and Jennie V. Hibbs; and one brother, Joe Bealmear Jr.

She is survived by one daughter, Denise Coomes (John) of Union; one sister, Ruby Waddell of Cox’s Creek;

two grandchildren, Michelle Busch and Melanie Coomes; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Busch and Katie Busch; and several nieces and nephews.

The family has followed her wishes with a non-ceremonial cremation. Burial is 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery with Dr. Randal Pollock of Bardstown Baptist Church officiating.

The Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
