Pin Oak Drive home heavily damaged by early Monday morning blaze

Monday, March 12, 2018 (Edited 11:37 a.m.) — No one was injured early Monday morning in a house fire that severely damaged a Pin Oak Drive home overnight.

At about 3:45 Monday morning, the Bardstown Fire Department and Nelson County EMS were dispatched to the 2900 block of Pin Oak Drive for a report of a home on fire. The first firefighters on the scene reported heavy flames visible from the front of the home. The fire spread from the home into the garage and attic areas. Firefighters from the Nelson County Fire Department assisted the city firefighters with manpower to fight the fire.

Representatives with the American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the home’s residents with immediate housing and other assistance to the family.

Firefighters were on the scene for about three hours.
