Obituary: Joseph Francis ‘Bobo’ Fischer Jr., 68, Bardstown

Joseph Francis “Bobo” Fischer Jr., 68, of Bardstown, died Monday, March 12, 2018, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born May 25, 1949, in Fort Thomas to the late Joseph Francis and Constance Rose Zimmerman. He was a graduate of Bellarmine University, an employee of Justice Glass, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert H. Zimmerman; one sister, Elizabeth Hambrick; two brothers-in-law, Tim Kelly and Howard Smith; and one nephew, Tim Kelly Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Debby Dick Fischer; three daughters, Jennifer (Bill) Withers of Winchester, Meredith Smith and Natalie (Gabe) Stone, both of Bardstown; one son, Bryan (Laura) Smith of Lexington; four sisters, Mary (Mark) Brackman, Miriam Kelly, Ann Fischer-Smith, Connie (Bill) Klump; five brothers, Greg (Linda) Fischer, Michael (JoAnn) Fischer, Larry Hambrick, John(Penny) Fischer, and Robert Zimmerman; two grandchildren, Deuce Stone and Truby Smith; and 21 nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating with inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
