Obituary: Donna Marie Hagan, 65, Bardstown

Donna Marie Hagan, 65, of Bardstown, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 4, 1953, in New Haven to the late Richard Joseph and Teresa Ann Greenwell Newton. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Hagan.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Terrance) Gilbert of Taylorsville and Karen Hagan of Evansville, Ind.; a close friend, Tim Farris of Bardstown;

three sisters, Sharon (Greg) Maygar of Cox’s Creek, Teresa Diane (Jack) Brown of Bloomfield, and Nancy (Otie) Clark of Virginia; three brothers, Stephen Newton of Bardstown, Dickie (Mary Lou) Newton of Hodgenville and Michael (Janie) Newton of Bardstown; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family followed Donna’s wishes for a non-ceremonial cremation.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
