TNHS principal Bradley is finalist for county school superintendent search

Wednesday, March 21, 2018 — The Nelson County Board of Education Tuesday night named the four finalists for the district superintendent position whom they plan to interview.
The finalists include:
— Thomas Nelson High School principal Wes Bradley of Bardstown;
— Chuck Abell, assistant superintendent of Spence County Schools, Taylorsville;
— Taylor Schlosser, superintendent, Marion County Schools, Lebanon, and;
— Travis Hamby, superintendent of Trigg County Schools, Cadiz.
On each candidate’s interview date, they will spend the day touring the district’s schools and meeting the public at an afternoon reception held at a district building.
Abell is also one of the four finalists for the superintendent opening with Bardstown City Schools.
The district will release the interview schedule and reception locations on Thursday.
The board’s timeline anticipates announcing the selection of superintendent at a board meeting in April.
The board has been assisted in the superintendent search by Owens Saylor of the Kentucky Association of School Administrators.
