Obituary: Rita Riley Curtsinger, 69, Willisburg

Rita Riley Curtsinger, 69, of Willisburg, died at 4:02 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was born in Bardstown on March 11, 1949, to the late Harvey Lee and Clara Elizabeth Jury Riley. She was a member of the Free Pentecostal Church of Willisburg. She was a graduate of Spencer County High School and a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing and Union Underwear Company.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Bentley, Mary Helen Cox and Bonnie Hill; two brothers, Jimmy Riley and Joe Phil Riley; and one great-granddaughter, Haley Nicole Speer.

Survivors include her husband, Randall “Buddy” Curtsinger; two daughters, Djuna Hill of Springfield and Toni Chesser of Willisburg; four sons, Randy Curtsinger (Lorrie) of Willisburg, Gene Curtsinger (Sandy) of Radcliff, Johnnie Curtsinger (Vickie) of Harrodsburg and Keith Curtsinger (Angie) of Willisburg; three sisters, Ann Hahn, Lee Standford (Gary) and Donna Coulter (Ricky), all of Bardstown; two brothers, Roy Riley (Kay) of Bardstown and Ricky Riley (Becky) of Louisville; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the Anchor of Hope Church in Willisburg with the Rev. Ricky Cheatham, the church pastor, officiating. Burial is in the Lonesome Dove Cemetery at Willisburg.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, at the church.

Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
