Obituary: Barbara Ann Reid, 81, Bardstown
Barbara Ann Reid, 81, of Bardstown, died Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Bardstown Health and Rehabilitation with her family by her side. She was born Feb. 3, 1937, in Bardstown to the late Charles Lee and Catherine Isabelle Bickett Wood. She worked at the former Behr’s and Hallmark Cards retail stores and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy Jo Reid.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Herbert Reid; six daughters, Gail (Gary) Mulhall of Elizabethtown, Donna (Jeff) Eaves of Bloomfield, Tammy Reid of Shepherdsville, Cindy (Dennis) Brothers and Teresa (David) Akers, both of Elizabethtown and Kristie (Sidney) Luckett of Bardstown; three sisters, Brilla Hartlage of Louisville, Nancy McCarrick of Bardstown, and Judy (Jack) Burnside of Ohio; one brother, Charles Kenny (Marilyn) Wood of Orlando, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018, with evening prayers, and 8:30-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Rd., is in charge of arrangements.
