Bardstown woman, 22, dies in early Thursday Springfield Road crash

Friday, April 6, 2018 — A Bardstown woman died early Thursday morning when her car left Springfield Road and crashed in a creek.
The body of Destiny Cheyenne Danner, 22, of Bardstown, was found by sheriff deputies Thursday evening around 6:30 p.m. near her car in a creek bed in the 4000 block of Springfield Road in the area of Cane Run Loop.
According to a nearby resident, he heard a loud noise outside his home at about 1 a.m. Thursday morning. He looked outside but found nothing out of the ordinary. The man went to work Thursday morning while it was still dark.
The witness said when he returned home Thursday evening he discovered a trail of car parts in his yard and near a tree. When he followed the debris, he located Danner’s damaged vehicle and her body in the creek bed.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigated the crash. The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Louisville by the county coroner. Nelson County EMS and Nelson County Fire assisted officers at the scene.
