Obituary: Norma Jean Tindle, 70, Taylorsville

Norma Jean Tindle, 70, of Taylorsville, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville. She was born March 31, 1948, in Hardinsburg to the late Joe and Noveline Fuqua Meyers.

She was a former employee of American Greetings Distribution Center in Shelbyville, a homemaker, and a member of the Little Mt Baptist Church. She loved the beach, to fish and bake, and take care of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Donaway and Mary Young; two brothers, Tom Harper and Marion Harper; and one granddaughter, Brittany Darnell.

She is survived by her husband, Lester Tindle Jr.; one daughter, Tammy (Reece) Hadley of Mount Washington; four sons, James (Andrea) Darnell of Lebanon Junction, Shawn (Leslie) Tindle of Shepherdsville, Gary (Rhonda) Tindle and Bryan (Edwina) Tindle, both of Taylorsville; three sisters, Brenda Smiley, Charlene Meyers and Darlene Meyers, all of Louisville; eight grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville with Bro. David Clay and Bro. Allan Hahn officiating. Burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements.
